LEEDS — In recent weeks, a number of Leeds Green Wave football players have participated in various camps to showcase their skills and give a look-see to college coaches and scouts.

Jonathon Rose has participated in camps at The University of Alabama and Auburn Univeristy.

Trevon Strickland, Ladaruis Rogers, Ladarius Burt, and Javier Mitchell all showed their stuff in the Schuman Camp held at Midfield High School several weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, Strickland and Burt, along with Jermain Smith and Shane McGinnis, participated in the Scouts.com camp held at Gasden City High School.

McGinnis and Mitchell also participated in the combine held at the Russ Paulhemis camp in Vestavia one month ago.

Throughout much of these camps, the players continued to work during spring practice for the Green Wave. The played in a spring game against Springville two weeks ago where the Green Wave enjoyed a preseason victory.
