LHS baseball players named to honor team
LEEDS —
Three members of the Leeds Green Wave have been named to The Birmingham News’ 2010 All-North/East Baseball Team.
Senior outfielder Daniel Faulkner, senior Dylan Young, and freshman shortstop Rie Falletta were selected for the honors.
Described by area coaches as an “RBI machine” that hit .375 this season and drove in 49 runs, Young was named to the all-star team as a designated hitter. Faulkner was selected for stealing 47 bases on 49 attempts, earning an on-base percentage of .492. Falletta had a batting average of .361, hitting 15 doubles and scoring 31 runs for the Green Wave.
