LEEDS — Willis Lee Whiten, 91, of Leeds passed away March 1, 2010.

Funeral services will be held today, March 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Leeds First Baptist Church with a 2 p.m. graveside service at Oxford Memorial Cemetery in Oxford.

Mr. Whiten was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Leeds.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Barnwell Whiten; daughter, Jan Battles (Bob); grandson, David Battles (Sherri); his great-grandson, William Battles; sisters, Betty Elkins (Bill), Peggy Deleuil (Wood), Mary Weldon (Ronald); brothers, Mallory Whiten (Dorothy), Wallace Whiten (Betty), and Robert Whiten (Juanita).
