Martin Luther King Jr.
It is once again time for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast. The Unity Breakfast is a celebration and symbol of the unity that lives within the Leeds community. Last year, the breakfast had over 500 people in attendance and this year organizers are looking forward to everyone’s presence and financial support.
The Unity Breakfast will take place on Monday, January 18, 2010, at Barber Motorsports from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
The guest speaker for this event will be Mr. Shelly Stewart, former Birmingham disc jockey and talk show host. Stewart is a member of the Black Radio Hall of Fame. The master of ceremony will be Leeds native, Mr. Rodney Garner, University of Georgia football assistant head coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.
With donations and continued support, the community will have another successful event.
Individual tickets are $10.
All sponsors will receive priority seating, table recognition, program recognition as well as recognition in the local newspapers.
Bronze Corporate seating is $500 with seating for eight and program recognition. Silver Humanitarian seating is $1,000 with seating for eight and a half page color advertisement in the program. Gold Sustainer seating is $1,500 and up with seating for eight, a full page color advertisement in the program and banner recognition.
