Leeds, Moody joining forces for LWC
The Leeds Athletic Booster Club and the Moody Football Booster Club are working together next week in a little friendly competition for a good cause.
Leeds and Moody will square off on the football field next Thursday, October 29, while fans square off with canned goods for the Leeds Welfare Cooperative.
Anyone attending the game is asked to bring canned goods and non-perishable items to the game and each booster club will see whose fans brought the most items. The items will then be donated to the Leeds Welfare Cooperative, which helps residents of both Leeds and Moody.
Donation centers will be set up for each team just inside the stadium and the winning school will be recognized during half-time.
For more information, call Leeds Athletic Booster Club President Dennis Ashley at (205) 438-3956 or (205) 577-2439, Moody Football Booster Club President Tim Gilliland at (205) 296-7480. The Leeds Welfare Cooperative can be reached at 699-7291.
