Glass charged with capital murder
Adrian Glass, 26, has been charged with capital murder in association with the shooting deaths of his parents, Jimmy Glass, 51, and Denise Glass, 49, of Moody.
Moody Police Department Public Information Officer Sergeant Paul Monk released the following statement on August 7 after authorities found Glass in South Dakota and brought him back to Alabama.
“Adrian Edward Glass, son of Jimmy and Denise Glass, has been charged with capital murder,” Sgt. Monk said.
“Mr. Glass was arrested yesterday on a warrant obtained by a Moody police investigator. The warrant was served by a St. Clair County Sheriff's deputy. Mr. Glass is currently being held in the St. Clair County Jail.”
Glass has a preliminary hearing set for September 29 at 9 a.m. in front of Judge Phillip Seay in a district court in Pell City.
“We would like to thank the following agencies for their support and assistance in this case: the Moody Fire Department, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, St. Clair County District Attorney’s Office, St. Clair County Coroner’s Office, the Alabama Department of Forensic Science, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, the Alabama Department of Public Safety, the United States Marshall’s Office, the Lymon County Sheriff's Office, the South Dakota Highway Patrol and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation. Without their help we would not be where we are at today.”
Adrian Glass became a person of interest in the death of his parents, whose bodies were found in their home on James Taylor Road in Moody on July 31, and was later located in South Dakota on August 6 by Lyman County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from South Dakota Highway Patrol around noon today. Glass was located about 20 miles west of Chamberlain, South Dakota.
