Allan Glasgow of Ashville earned his first BASS win at the final stop of the 2009 Bassmaster Southern Opens. His strength came in his final day earning him more than $32,000. Glasgow finished Saturday, registering a 17-pound, 3-ounce limit, the days heaviest, and beating out the previous day’s leader Cliff Prince of Palatka, Fla., by just eight ounces.
Glasgow said he made a long run all three days to Stump Hole Swamp and was fortunate enough to get the five right bites, adding it was unreal and he was hoping for the best and it finally happened.
He was fishing stumps and trees in Stump Hole Swamp with a square-billed crank bait and big spinner bait.
