Atrox Factory announces opening weekend
Atrox Factory in Leeds is the largest indoor haunted attraction in the southeast, has announced dates and celebrities for the 2009 season. The haunt will open October 2 with Jason (Derek Mears Friday the 13th 2009) as the opening weekend celebrity.
Measuring in at 48,500 square feet, and a quarter-mile long stretch of twists and turns, Atrox Factory is considered the largest indoor haunted attraction not only in Birmingham, but in the region as a whole. Atrox Factory also brings in horror movie celebrities who sign autographs and take photos with fans while they hang out in the 12,500 feet indoor waiting area.
Originally called “Behind the Mask,” the celebrity concept introduces the actors to the audience as themselves, not in character. Other celebrities for the month of October include for 2009.. Dave Prowse (DARTH VADER) Tony Todd (CANDYMAN) and Chris Carnel (The miner in "My Bloody Valentine 3D" 2009)
“We're turning it up a notch at Atrox this year,” comments one of Atrox’s founders Paul Johnson,
In addition to being the largest indoor scare around, Atrox Factory is also Birmingham’s only 100 percent non-profit, 501-C-3, haunted attraction. All profits are donated to local community groups.
Ticket prices are only $13 per person, $15 on celebrity nights. Atrox T-shirts are available and group rates are available for 50 or more with prior notice (Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday nights only).
Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, the haunt is open from 6:30-10 p.m. and weekends from 7 p.m.-midnight. Atrox Factory is closed Mondays and Tuesday nights for the 2009 season. Visit www.atroxfactory.com for more information.
