LEEDS/MOODY — Weather permitting, beginning Thursday, January 28, ALDOT will perform a Geotechnical Investigation on I-20 eastbound, on the outside (right) lane from Milepost 138 to Milepost 142.9, in the area between Birmingham and Leeds. The drilling operation should be completed in approximately one to two days, dependent on weather conditions and work progress.
Segments of the outside (right) eastbound lane will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., each day, while the work is in progress.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Geotechnical operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
