Teenager shot Thursday evening
LEEDS — Leeds police and other emergency personnel responded to the 1200 block of Vivian St. in Leeds at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Thursday night in response to gun fire.
According to a release from the Leeds Police Department, a 17-year-old male was struck by a single gun shot as he walked along Vivian Street. The victim said he a car pulled up beside him and fired the gunshot at him, hitting him in the right thigh area. Officials said the victim was either unable or unwilling to provide investigators with any details as to where the shooting occurred, any motive for the shooting, who the suspect(s) were, the suspect's description, or any description of the suspect vehicle.
The victim was treated at the scene by Leeds Fire and Rescue personnel then transported to an area hospital for further treatment.
