LEEDS — Students at Leeds Elementary School took time away from their normal classroom assignments last Friday to enjoy the warm spring weather during the school’s annual field day event. Students participated in a variety of physical activities such as tug-of-war, sack racing, throwing competitions, relay races, dancing, hula-hoop, jump rope, and many others. There was a cool-down station where students could soak their feet and enjoy a cold treat. Many teachers, parents and PTO volunteers helped with the day-long event.
